Welcome to my personal web page!. I am an energy scientist from Costa Rica with a passion for electric power systems. My work focuses on energy systems simulation, microgrid design, optimization under uncertainty, and quantitative energy policy. Currently I am employed at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) as a researcher working at the Grid Planning and Analysis Center (GPAC) as an optimization research engineer.

I tackle questions in energy systems with a modern and multidisciplinary approach. The global goal of reducing the environmental impacts of electricity production needs solutions that encompass multiple areas of human knowledge. My current focus is on the development of new simulation tools to study renewable energy integration. If you are interested in my CV, please visit my LinkedIn profile.

My objective is to maximize the value offered to others which requires open and transparent methodologies, good communication, and honesty. Please send me a note if you are interested in starting a research collaboration.
