Welcome to my personal web page!. I am an energy engineer and scientist from Costa Rica with a passion for electric power systems. My work focuses on energy systems simulation, microgrid design, optimization under uncertainty, and quantitative energy policy.

I tackle questions in energy systems with a modern and multidisciplinary approach. The global goal of reducing the environmental impacts of electricity production needs solutions that encompass multiple areas of human knowledge most recently AI and Datacenters. My current focus is on the development of new simulation tools to study renewable energy integration.

For over a decade I worked with the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) (formerly known as NREL) as the Tech Lead for the Sienna simulation platform and today I am the CTO of QXT Energy. If you are interested in my background, take a look at my CV or connect on LinkedIn.

My objective is to maximize the value offered to others which requires open and transparent methodologies, good communication, and honesty. Please send me a note if you are interested in starting a collaboration or talk about energy systems.
